We are Proyectarte

Mision

Mission: Proyectarte is a social Colombian organisation which strives to enable means of personal and social transformation, working with children, teenagers and their families who are affected by human rights violations.

The projects of Proyectarte have been developed by our interdisciplinary teams who believe that social transformations orientated towards the common good bring about personal transformations, and that they are achieved by working in a network with others who pursue similar goals.

Vision

In 2025, Proyectarte will have developed sustainable projects of personal and social empowerment with communities affected by human rights abuses.

OUR KEY VALUES:

ETHICS: Respect for oneself and each other, and taking responsibility for our actions.

SOLIDARITY: The commitment and participation of all of us in the construction of a society orientated towards the common good and preserving the planet.

CREATIVITY: The innovative energy that is necessary to create new options, paths and models of society inspired by solidarity.

OPTIMISM: A positive attitude that allows us, even in the most difficult situations, to do what is necessary to reach the targets that we have set.

OBJECTIVES

Focussing on young boys, girls and their families who are in situations of violence, exclusion and human rights violations, Proyectarte has the following objectives:

  • To enable the expression of experiences, the process of grieving and dealing with trauma following violent situations, with the purpose of giving new meaning to their personal history, developing higher levels of resilience and taking on the responsibility of forming their own ambitions based on ethical principles.
  • To offer support in the recognition and development of the potential within each young person we work with, in this way facilitating realisation of goals and encouraging the positive impact their talents can have on the community.
  • To offer support in the analysis of their contexts and in the construction of a culture of rights and responsibilities in the private and public sphere.
  • To assist the improvement of the quality of life, of family and community life, through the learning of assertive communication, teamwork, negotiated solutions to conflicts and the creation of group projects.

Project Objectives

  • To organise experiences with the purpose of reflective thinking, to then improve and share the results with organisations with similar goals.
  • To connect our projects to other initiatives with aligned objectives to allow the exchange of services and methodologies, and to commit together to the construction of a society that is more just and respectful of our environment.
